Dayshut Privacy Policy

Dayshut is made by Reachwise AI Limited ("we", "us"). This policy explains what Dayshut collects, why, and what you can do about it. Questions: support@dayshut.app.
The short version
- Your camera never leaves your phone. Brush Check analyses frames on your phone as they arrive and throws them away. We never record, store or upload images, video, audio or anything about your face.
- The apps you lock stay private. Apple's Screen Time gives Dayshut opaque tokens, not app names, and they never leave your phone. We can't see what you do in any app.
- You can use Dayshut without an account. Your schedule, nights and streaks stay on your phone. If you sign in, they're backed up to your account so you can restore them.
- We don't sell your data, and we don't track you across apps or websites.
What we collect
If you don't sign in
- An anonymous account ID. A random ID is created when you first open Dayshut so your subscription can be linked to you. It isn't tied to your name, email or anything else about you.
- Device details: a random install ID, device model, iOS and app version, language and time zone. We use these to keep the service working.
- Subscription status from Apple, through RevenueCat (see below).
- Anonymous usage statistics (see "Analytics").
Everything else — your schedule, nights, Brush Check results, emergency unlocks and settings — stays on your phone.
If you sign in with Apple or Google
On top of the above:
- Your name and email address, as Apple or Google share them. With Sign in with Apple you can hide your email, and we'll only see a relay address.
- Your Dayshut records: your bedtime schedule and time zone; each night's outcome and times; Brush Check results (how long you brushed, pauses, whether challenges passed, never any imagery); emergency unlocks and the reason you chose; pauses; tamper events such as turning off protection; your streak summary; and your settings.
- The name you chose in the app, shown to people you connect with in future social features.
- A record of when you agreed to these terms and this policy.
We use these to back up and restore your data, and to run features you choose to use.
Analytics
We send anonymous usage events, such as "onboarding completed" or "Brush Check completed in 2 minutes", to TelemetryDeck, to understand which features work. These events never include your account ID, name, email or anything camera-derived. TelemetryDeck hashes its device identifier so events can't be linked back to you.
Who processes your data
We use these providers, each under a data-processing agreement:

Where data leaves the UK or EU, it is protected by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
We don't sell or rent personal data, and we don't use it for advertising.
Legal bases (UK GDPR and EU GDPR)
- Contract: running the app and your subscription, and backing up your data if you sign in.
- Legitimate interests: keeping the service secure and understanding usage through anonymous analytics.
- Consent: anything we ask your permission for, which you can withdraw at any time.
How long we keep it
- Signed-in accounts: until you delete your account.
- Anonymous accounts: deleted automatically after 90 days of inactivity, unless there's a purchase linked to them.
- Deleted accounts: removed from our database immediately, and your RevenueCat customer record is erased. Apple keeps its own purchase records.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your data, object to processing, or restrict it. In the app:
- Settings → Privacy → Export my data downloads everything on your phone.
- Settings → Privacy → Delete all my data erases it from your phone.
- Settings → Account → Delete account permanently deletes your account and everything we hold. Deleting your account doesn't cancel your subscription: manage that in your Apple Account settings.
For anything else, email support@dayshut.app. You can also complain to your data protection authority. In the UK that's the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
California residents: we don't sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA, and you have the rights to know, delete and correct it.
Children
Dayshut is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has given us personal data, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect.
